Mouse Practice by Emily Arnold McCully – My son really enjoyed this book about mice playing baseball
What Mommies do best/What Daddies do Best by Laura Joffe Numeroff – We love these 2 sided books
I am the mother to 4 little tater tots. I read to them every night and buy a ridiculous amount of used books.

Each Thursday I take my kids to the library and we check out some new books and go to storytime. My 2 year old seems to like storytime, though it seems like he enjoys going to the park behind the library afterwards more than anything else. We usually check out 5-10 children’s books each week and read those for a whole week and then get some more. And when I say read them for a whole week, I mean at least 2 or 3 times each day. So I’m going to post an entry each Thursday sharing the books for the week and which ones were favorites and which ones weren’t.
If you take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Joffe Numeroff – definitely a Favorite, we own some of her other books and he loves all of them!
When the elephant Walks by Keiko Kasza – Favorite, a fun book about animals and not too long
Ella Sarah Gets Dressed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine – Favorite, not sure why he liked this book so much since it’s very repetitive – perhaps he liked hearing Ella Sarah say NO! a lot (which I did not like and sometimes would say something else while reading it)
Emily loves to Bounce by Stephen Michael King – Favorite, a fun book for a kid with nice pictures
The Other Goose by Judith Kerr – Almost Favorite, he seems to like reading about geese though the book seemed a little long for him
Where’s your Smile, Crocodile? by Claire Freedman – OK Favorite – it’s a cute rhyme, with a crocodile named Kyle looking for his smile, and it has a good message – my 2 year old just seemed a little bored with it
Prancing, Dancing Lily by Marsha Diane Arnold – OK Favorite, a little long for a 2 year old but he seemed to like it all right
Good night, Baby Bear by Frank Asch – OK Favorite, my son liked saying the title but the pictures inside weren’t too exciting
Where’s Mary’s Hat? by Barroux – Not So Much Favorite, my son was very bored with this book and shut it on me a few times when trying to read it
