Weekly Children’s Book Review

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett – OK Favorite, my son is a little young for this story, but still enjoyed parts of it…I loved it when I was young!

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst – OK Favorite, this is another classic children’s book, but might have been a little boring for my 2 year old without color pictures

Keeping Up with Grandma by John Winch – OK Favorite, this was an interesting story…but I wish it would have involved kids more than just grandparents

Froggy Plays in the Band by Jonathan London – Favorite, my son enjoys the Froggy books and loved pretending to be in a band, playing the saxophone like Froggy

Lucille’s Snowsuit by Kathryn Lasky – OK Favorite, this book was a little long for my child, but had similar parallels to my son when he tries to get dressed and gets stuck

Cowboy Small by Lois Lenski – OK Favorite, this book was pretty boring for me and not too exciting for my son who isn’t interested in cowboys

What a Hat! by Holly Keller – Almost Favorite, we enjoyed reading this book about a hat passed among friends to make each other feel better

Mort the Sport by Robert Kraus – Almost Favorite, this was a fun little story about an elephant who likes sports and music…just like my son

Whose Mouse are You? by Robert Kraus – Almost Favorite, we got this book a few months ago and we both really liked it so I got it again. It’s a little young for my son now, but still a very cute short story

A Porcupine Named Fluffy by Helen Lester – Almost Favorite, this was a very entertaining story
