The Best Picture Books from the Library this Week

If you take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Joffe Numeroff – We own some of her other books and Blake loves all of them!

When the elephant Walks by Keiko Kasza – A fun book about animals and not too long

Ella Sarah Gets Dressed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine – Not sure why he liked this book so much since it’s very repetitive – perhaps he liked hearing Ella Sarah say NO! a lot (which I did not like and sometimes would say something else while reading it)

Emily loves to Bounce by Stephen Michael King – A fun book with nice pictures

RecoMonday: Karen Katz: Lift-the-Flaps Books

I’ve checked out a few books from the library by Karen Katz before because they always look so nice and colorful. Plus, most of them are “lift the flap” books, which my son loves. Some of the ones that we have tried are: Daddy and Me, Where is Baby’s Belly Button?, Counting Kisses, Where is Baby’s Mommy?, and Twelve Hats for Lena. My son has enjoyed all of them, but the favorite one we just found is “Excuse Me! : A Little book of Manners.” This teaches my son good manners and he loves it! I highly recommend it.
