The Time Traveler’s Wife

I read this book 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. I just found the movie trailer at imdb.com and some people commented on how much sappier it looks than the book. The book had a lot of foul language, so I don’t care if it’s sappier. Every time I watch the trailer I’m more excited to see it!

(Some comments were saying they didn’t want it to be like The Notebook and didn’t know why they picked Lifehouse music – but I loved The Notebook and love Lifehouse music!)

I finally joined goodreads. I’ve been using LibraryThing for a few years to keep track of my books, but once you have over 200 books it’s no longer free, so I decided to export them to goodreads. I liked LibraryThing just fine; I just didn’t want to pay any money. I’ve gotten at least 5 free books through LibraryThing to review, so I will probably keep my account up to date there.

Fun Summer Reading

I recently read three stories by a young adult author, Janette Rallison, that I really enjoyed. She focuses on high schoolers and the reading is just light, funny, and clean (I think she’s LDS). I read the first two books in possibly one sitting (late into the night). Her third book took a little longer to get into since it was slightly different from her other ones.

My favorite one so far is:

Then this one:

This last one was more of a fantasy book and started off a little boring for me, but got better halfway through.

I think they’re fun books to read on vacation. She has at least 5 other YA books out that I’m hoping to read this summer. And apparently (after visiting her blog) she also writes books under the name Sierra St. James. Who knew?
