Weekly Children’s Book Review

The Grumpy Morning by Pamela Duncan Edwards – OK Favorite, this was another book about animals on a farm, nothing extra special but still OK to read

Just Like You by Jan Fearnley – Almost Favorite, a nice story about a mother’s love shown by different animals

How to Rock Your Baby by Sibley Fleming – OK Favorite, this was a silly idea about all the different ways you could rock your baby

Ring around a Rosie by Annie Kubler – OK Favorite, I got this one for my 1 year old who likes to play Ring around the Rosie…he did not like to sit and read about it in a book though!

The Big Trip by Valeri Gorbachev – Almost Favorite, this was a fun book about different ways to take a trip, but how you especially need to go with a friend

Upsie Downsie, are you Asleep? by Jana Dillon – OK Favorite, despite the fun title of this book, it got a little long and boring.

Mrs. Spitzer’s Garden by Edith Pattou – OK Favorite, the message of this story was even over my head

Mouse Count by Ellen Stoll Walsh – Favorite, we’ve read Mouse Paint several times, so this was a fun sequel to that one & helped us to count in a fun way

For Pete’s Sake by Ellen Stoll Walsh – Almost Favorite, another funny story by this author with some fun pink flamingos that aren’t often used in children’s books

There’s Only One of Me! by Pat Hutchins – Almost Favorite, this book had nice colorful pictures and a quick story about your place in the family

Horns to Toes and in Between by Sandra Boynton – Almost Favorite, another younger book mainly for my 1 year old who is learning body parts…we love Sandra Boynton’s books, my son just isn’t ready to sit through any of them yet!

No Trouble at All by Sally Grindley – Almost Favorite, this was a very fun story about 2 little bears sneaking around the house while their babysitter thinks they are perfect angels

Max’s Christmas Stocking by Rosemary Wells – Almost Favorite, we continue to find Christmas books occasionally and are gearing up for the holidays! My 2 year old likes Max and Ruby especially when Christmas presents are included
