Wings by Christopher A Myers – OK Favorite, a little long for my son but it had a good message

The House across the Street by Jules Feiffer – Favorite, my son loved this book for some reason…it’s about a child jealous of his rich neighbor

The Squiggle by Carole Lexa Schaefer – OK Favorite, imaginative…good for my son who is starting to use his own imagination

Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson – Favorite, very fun story with animals

Bear Dreams by Elisha Cooper – OK Favorite, a little boring but nice and short

The Great Pig Search by Eileen Christelow – OK Favorite, good pictures and fun idea but a little too long

Five Little Monkeys Play Hide and Seek by Eileen Christelow – Almost Favorite, we like these monkey books and my son loves to hear them say, “Ready or Not, Here I come!”

Corduroy’s Garden by Alison Inches – OK Favorite, I remember liking Corduroy when I was little but I don’t think my son really does

A Mud Pie for Mother by Scott Beck – Favorite, cute story about a little pig finding a gift for his mother

Zee by Michel Gay – Almost Favorite, very cute little zebra bringing his parents breakfast in bed

Flower Garden by Eve Bunting – OK Favorite, my son got bored with this one, but I loved it because it’s about a father and daughter getting a birthday gift ready for mother…made me get a little teary 🙂

And if the Moon could Talk by Kate Banks – Not so much Favorite, neither my son or myself liked this one

Too Many Monsters by Eve Bunting – Favorite, great pictures and cute story

Hey, Frog! by Piet Grobler – Almost Favorite, my son liked this one though I didn’t like that the crow “cursed” at the frog. I changed that word while reading so my son wouldn’t ask what cursing was.

Loveykins by Quentin Blake – Almost Favorite, weird story…love the title though

Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs by Byron Barton – OK Favorite, my son usually didn’t want to read this one

The Hat by Jan Brett – OK Favorite, I enjoyed it but my son just thought it was ok

Just a Nap by Mercer Mayer – Favorite, just a cute story about a kid trying to avoid a nap but eventually falling asleep

Fly High, Fly Low by Don Freeman – Almost Favorite, a little too long for my son but he still liked the story…I can understand why it won an award
