Just Like You by Jan Fearnley – Almost Favorite, a nice story about a mother’s love shown by different animals

How to Rock Your Baby by Sibley Fleming – OK Favorite, this was a silly idea about all the different ways you could rock your baby

Ring around a Rosie by Annie Kubler – OK Favorite, I got this one for my 1 year old who likes to play Ring around the Rosie…he did not like to sit and read about it in a book though!

The Big Trip by Valeri Gorbachev – Almost Favorite, this was a fun book about different ways to take a trip, but how you especially need to go with a friend

Upsie Downsie, are you Asleep? by Jana Dillon – OK Favorite, despite the fun title of this book, it got a little long and boring.

Mrs. Spitzer’s Garden by Edith Pattou – OK Favorite, the message of this story was even over my head

Mouse Count by Ellen Stoll Walsh – Favorite, we’ve read Mouse Paint several times, so this was a fun sequel to that one & helped us to count in a fun way

For Pete’s Sake by Ellen Stoll Walsh – Almost Favorite, another funny story by this author with some fun pink flamingos that aren’t often used in children’s books

There’s Only One of Me! by Pat Hutchins – Almost Favorite, this book had nice colorful pictures and a quick story about your place in the family

Horns to Toes and in Between by Sandra Boynton – Almost Favorite, another younger book mainly for my 1 year old who is learning body parts…we love Sandra Boynton’s books, my son just isn’t ready to sit through any of them yet!

No Trouble at All by Sally Grindley – Almost Favorite, this was a very fun story about 2 little bears sneaking around the house while their babysitter thinks they are perfect angels

Max’s Christmas Stocking by Rosemary Wells – Almost Favorite, we continue to find Christmas books occasionally and are gearing up for the holidays! My 2 year old likes Max and Ruby especially when Christmas presents are included

Gaspard and Lisa’s Rainy Day by Anne Gutman – Almost Favorite, this was a fun book of ideas for a rainy day inside

Bess and Bella by Irene Haas – Almost Favorite, we liked this imaginative story of a lonely girl finding a bird with a suitcase of wonderful treasures who stays with her for the winter instead of flying south

This is the Bear by Sarah Hayes – Almost Favorite, a fun story about a lost bear

I Can’t Talk Yet, but When I Do by Julie Markes – OK Favorite, I loved the meaning of this book from a baby’s perspective who can’t talk…but it was a little over my son’s head

Grandma Tells a Story by Lois G Grambling – OK Favorite, another good message about the love of grandparents, but a little dull for my son

Yummers! by James Marshall – Favorite, a very odd story, but that made it original and my son and I loved reading about all the yummy food Emily eats

If you Love a Bear by Piers Harper – Almost Favorite, a fun story for any child who loves his teddy bear and imagines playing with him

Old MacDonald had a Woodshop by Lisa Shulman – Almost Favorite, we really like the Old MacDonald song, so this was a fun twist

The Rain Came Down by David Shannon – Almost Favorite, this was an entertaining story about sour moods when it’s raining, but happiness when it’s sunny

Henny Penny by Paul Galdone – Almost Favorite, another version of “the sky is falling” story…pretty good

Dandelion by Don Freeman – Favorite, this was another winner by Don Freeman. My son and I both loved it!

Scary, Scary Halloween by Eve Bunting – Almost Favorite, my son loves scary books right now.

Up the Mountain by Charlotte Agell – OK Favorite, this book wasn’t anything new and exciting

“Hi, Pizza Man!” by Virginia Walter – Favorite, this book is a great idea and a good example of some way to entertain your kids when you’re waiting for the pizza man

Bubba and Beau go Night-Night by Kathi Appelt – OK Favorite, I didn’t like this book that much, but my son liked it

Where Have You Been? by Margaret Wise Brown – OK Favorite, we liked the different animals and the rhyming

Terrific by Jon Agee – Favorite, we have been saying Terrific in our house this week because of this book…a funny story and a very clever idea to have the man always say “Terrific”

Mama Loves by Rebecca Kai Dotlich – OK Favorite, a sweet book about a mother’s love

Potty! by Mylo Freeman – Favorite, I think this book really helped my son know that his little potty is all right and just his size. He has started potty-training after reading this book…and it’s funny with all the big animals trying to sit on the tiny potty!

The Ugly Truckling by David Gordon – OK Favorite, a valiant attempt to base a story on cars similar to The Ugly Duckling. We enjoyed it, but not as much as our favorite ones this week

The Lonesome Polar Bear by Jane Cabrera – Almost Favorite, I thought this was a cute book about a polar bear and the snow

There’s a Wocket in my Pocket by Dr. Seuss – OK Favorite, sometimes I don’t think Dr. Seuss is that great (I know I’m against the norm)

Mr. Putter & Tabby Feed the Fish by Cynthia Rylant – OK Favorite, I’m not sure why I got Mr. Putter again, it’s a little long for both my child and me

Amanda Pig and her Best Friend Lollipop by Jean Van Leeuwen – Favorite, my son loves lollipops, so reading about a girl with that name who likes lollipops is a winner!

Maisy Goes to the Library by Lucy Cousins – OK Favorite, nice simple read

Baby Can by Eve Bunting – Almost Favorite, another winner by Eve Bunting

My Red Balloon by Eve Bunting – Almost Favorite, very touching story…sometimes Eve Bunting really gets me teared up with her stories

The Golden Egg Book by Margaret Wise Brown – Almost Favorite, easter eggs are fun and this was a funny story
